Limited Edition Plastic Model Kits

For the first time, Tarangus exhibited at the Scale Model World show in Telford, UK over the weekend of 8th and 9th of November. We launched the new Viggen kit and also had our other kits with us. It was great to meet customers and fellow modelers and get so much feedback!

There were also some a lot of very well built models on display. This event is highly recommended!
Tarangus will exhibit at Scale Model World in Telford the coming weekend! It’s a great opportunity to not only get a good look at our kits, but also meet the people behind the scenes.
We will bring a very limited number of kits with us, including the new Viggen, and sell those at the show.

The brand new JA 37 Viggen in 1/48 is nearing completion and will be launched very soon. We will exhibit at the IPMS Scale Model World in Telford in November and we will definetely bring the kit with us to that event.

The new Saab Safir in 1/48 scale has been available since the beginning of July and has received excellent reviews from both media and modellers. Some of our retailers have already placed several follow-up orders, meaning that it’s also a commercial success!
As a prop trainer, the Safir may not have the same air of “sexiness” as the fast jets, but for Saab it was a great success and served in both air forces academies as well as commercial flying schools. Many Safirs are still airworthy, so there is a good chance that you can turn the kit into your favourite aircraft. We know there are more decal options coming as well!

For the first time, the Saab Safir is released in 1/48 scale. This kit builds into a beautiful replica of the popular trainer. Here you can see the sprues as well as the built test shot.
Johan Elvin has built one of the finest models we have ever seen. He started with the Tarangus TA4803 J 32B Lansen, added the Maestro Models detail sets and some really nice scratch-building. The result is stunning! He finished the build in the markings of J 32B 32512 from F21 wing in Luleå as it looked during an excercise in 1959. Enjoy the pictures!
The summer of 2014 will introduce two new kits from Tarangus. The Viggen has been announced for some time and now we launch the Saab Safir, for the first time in 1/48 scale!
The Safir will come with markings for the Swedish, Finnish and Ethiopian air forces. More info can be found here!

The first test shot of the new Tarangus Saab JA 37 Viggen in 1/48 scale can be seen at the Wentzels Hobby shop in central Stockholm, Sweden.
Even though it’s only the first test shot (we’re up to three test shots now), you can still see the high quality of the kit. This is truly a kit worth waiting for!
